The Residence is Dartmouth's newest premium co-living property, offering four luxury en-suite bedrooms in a beautifully refurbished house. We provide a perfect blend of private accommodation and vibrant community living, with all bills included and professional management.

What's included in the monthly rent?

Your monthly rent includes absolutely everything you need:

  • Gas, electricity, and water
  • Council tax
  • Ultra-fast 500mbps fibre Wi-Fi
  • Regular professional cleaning of communal areas
  • Property insurance
  • 24/7 maintenance support via our resident app

How much are the rooms?

Our rooms are priced competitively with all bills included:

  • Number 1: £650 per month (En-suite, ground floor) - Coming Soon
  • Number 2: £650 per month (Premium en-suite with luxury bathroom, ground floor)
  • Number 3: £564 per month (Compact en-suite, efficient design, first floor)
  • Number 4: £650 per month (Premium en-suite with extra storage, first floor)
  • Number 5: £650 per month (En-suite)

How do I apply for a room?

Our application process is simple and straightforward:

  1. Choose your preferred room from our available options
  2. Download and complete the application form
  3. Schedule a viewing to see the property
  4. Complete your tenancy agreement and move in!

The entire process typically takes 5-7 days from application to move-in.

What documents do I need to apply?

You'll need the following documents for your application:

  • Valid ID (passport or driving license)
  • Proof of right to rent in the UK
  • 3 months' bank statements
  • Employment contract or recent payslips
  • Previous landlord reference (if applicable)
  • Employer reference
  • Character reference

We'll guide you through the entire process and help with any questions about documentation.

Is there a deposit required?

Yes, we require a security deposit equivalent to one month's rent, plus the first month's rent in advance. The deposit is fully refundable at the end of your tenancy, subject to the property being left in good condition. All deposits are protected in a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme.

What are the house rules?

We maintain simple, respectful house rules to ensure everyone enjoys their stay:

  • No smoking anywhere on the property
  • No pets allowed
  • Quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM
  • Keep communal areas clean and tidy
  • Respect other residents' privacy and belongings
  • No overnight guests without prior arrangement
  • Use the professional cleaning service for communal areas

Can I have guests?

Yes, you're welcome to have guests visit during reasonable hours. For overnight guests, we ask that you inform us and your housemates in advance as a courtesy. This ensures everyone is comfortable and helps maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the house.

How long are the tenancy agreements?

We offer flexible tenancy agreements starting from 6 months, with the option to extend. We understand that life circumstances can change, so we're happy to discuss your specific needs. Many of our residents choose to stay for 12+ months as they love the community and convenience.

What kitchen facilities are available?

Our brand-new communal kitchen is fully equipped with:

  • 4-ring hob, oven, and combination microwave
  • Two large fridge-freezers for ample personal storage
  • Dishwasher for convenience
  • All essential cookware, crockery, and utensils
  • Plenty of cupboard space for personal food storage
  • Large dining area for communal meals

A separate relaxing area will be added in spring 2026.

Is there parking available?

Street parking is available on Victoria Road and surrounding streets. Dartmouth has excellent public transport links, and the town center is just a 5-minute walk away, so many of our residents find they don't need a car for daily activities. For those who do drive, we can advise on the best local parking options.

How fast is the internet?

We provide ultra-fast 500mbps fibre broadband throughout the property, perfect for working from home, streaming, gaming, and video calls. The connection is reliable and professionally managed, with Wi-Fi coverage in all areas of the house including your private room.

How close is The Residence to Dartmouth town center?

The Residence is perfectly located just a 5-minute walk from Dartmouth's iconic waterfront and bustling town center. You're within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, pubs, the ferry, and all local amenities. The town center bus stop is just 30 seconds away with regular services to surrounding areas.

What transport links are available?

Dartmouth offers excellent transport connections:

  • Regular bus services to Totnes, Kingsbridge, and Paignton
  • Ferry services across the River Dart to Kingswear
  • River boats to Totnes and coastal trips
